THE SCOPE OF THIS PROJECT INCLUDES THE TOTAL RENNOVATION OF PROLIFIC LOS ANGELES ARCHITECT, ARTHUR
KELLY’S OWN HOME IN LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE AND INCLUDES LANDSCAPING AND
SITE DESIGN.
The original house was completed in 1925, for Arthur Kelly, most
famously known as the architect of what is now known as the Los Angeles
Playboy Mansion.
The project included
the demolition of the bedroom wing of the house, addition of a
second story and basement and design of the gardens and pool.
Additions were done in the style of the original house and features
extensive use of Tunisian tile and stenciling. The project
also included furnishings.
While many of our
projects are done in collaboration with other design professionals,
including landscape architects and interior designers, the scope of
this project encompassed all aspects of the design from planning
through interiors & landscape design. This interdisciplinary
approach allowed for a seemless integration of all aspects of the
design into one cohesive composition while at the same time keeping
true to the original design intent of the 1920s design.
