RENOVATIONS AND ADDITION TO THE 1925 CHANCELLOR RESIDENCE ORGINALLY
DESIGNED BY GEORGE WASHINGTON SMITH. The house had been cut
into 3 separate houses and was extensively altered over the years in
a manner inconsistent with original design. Project included removal
of inappropriate modifications and additions, relocation of Kitchen
& Dining Room and reworking of Entry and gardens.
All work was designed in a manner compatible with the
original.
The interiors are by Pamela Banker, Pamela Banker Associates in New
York. The garden layout is by Michael Burch Architects. The
project has been published in ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST, THE LOS ANGELES
TIMES and also in the book DREAM HOMES by Panache Press.
